What you need

Paintbox yarns cotton Aran (100% cotton)

A - Raspberry Pink (644) x 2 (2:2:2) balls

B - Mustard Yellow (624) x 2 (2:3:3) balls

C - Dusty Lilac (647) x 5 (6:6:7) balls

D - Marine Blue (634) x 3 (3:3:4) balls

E - Misty Grey (604) x 4 (4:4:5) balls

5mm crochet hook

8 x stitch markers

TENSION

15 sts and 8 rows to 10cm square over treble crochet using a 5mm hook.

Granny square jumper free pattern

SQUARE 1

Using 5mm crochet hook and A, ch3, sl st into ch furthest from hook to make a ring.

Rnd 1: ch3 (counts as first tr throughout), working into ring 1tr, 2ch, [2tr, 2ch] three times, sl st into 3rd ch of at beg of rnd. Fasten off.

Join B in any corner chsp.

Rnd 2: Ch3, [1tr, ch2, 2tr] in corner ch-sp, * ch1, [2tr, ch2, 2tr] in corner ch-sp, rep from * twice more, ch1, sl st into 3rd ch at beg of rnd. Fasten off.

Join C in any corner chsp.

Rnd 3: Ch3, [1tr, ch2, 2tr] in corner ch-sp, *ch1, 2tr in next ch-sp, ch1 [2tr, 2ch, 2tr] in cor-ner ch-sp, rep from * twice more, ch1, 2tr in next ch-sp, ch1, sl st into 3rd ch at beg of rnd. Fasten off.

Join D in any corner ch sp.

Make 2 (3:3:4) of square 2.

Join squares 1 and 2 together alternating colours to make 1 long strip of 1 x 5(6:7:8) squares.

**With RS facing, Using 5mm hook, join E to first corner ch-sp at either long side edge of your granny square strip.

Row 1 (RS): Ch3, 1tr in same ch-sp, *ch1, 2tr in next ch-sp, rep from * to end of strip, change to B on last yo, turn. 74 (89:104:119) sts.

Row 2 (WS): ch4 (counts as 1tr, 1ch), *2tr in next ch-sp, ch1; rep from * to last ch-sp, 2tr in next ch-sp, ch1, 1tr in final tr, change to E on last yo , turn.

Row 3: Rep row 1, changing to C on last yo.

Row 4: Rep row 2, changing to E on last yo.**

Row 5: Rep row 1, changing to D on last yo.

Row 6: Rep row 2, changing to E on last yo.

Row 7: Rep row 1, changing to A on last yo.

Row 8: Rep row 2, changing to E on last yo.

These 8 rows set stripe patt.

Work a further 17 (19:21:23) rows in stripe patt, fasten off.

Working on other side of the granny square strip rep from ** to **.

Row 5: Rep row 1, placing marker after 22nd (28th: 34th: 40th) and 52nd (61st: 70th: 79th) st to mark neck opening, fasten off.

SLEEVES (make 2 the same)

Make 2 (2:3:3) of square 1.

Make 2 (3:3:4) of square 2.

Join squares 1 and 2 together alternating colours to make 1 long strip of 1 x 4(5:6:7) squares.

**With RS facing, Using 5mm hook, join E to first corner ch-sp at either long side edge of your granny square strip.

Row 1 (RS): ch3, 1tr in same ch-sp, *ch1, 2tr in next ch-sp, rep from * to end of strip, change to D on last yo, turn. 59 (74:89:104) sts.

Row 2 (WS): ch4 (counts as 1tr, 1ch), *2tr in next ch-sp, ch1; rep from * to last ch-sp, 2tr in next chsp, ch1, 1tr in final tr, change to C on last yo , turn.**

Cont to rep rows 1 and 2, working in C throughout for a further 24 rows, fasten off.

CUFF

Working on other side of the granny square strip rep from ** to **, instead of changing to C on last yo, fasten off.

NECKBAND

Join shoulder seam at one side of fronts, joining between side edge and marker.

With RS facing, Using 5mm hook, Join D to either marked st at opposite end of shoulder seam, dc into each st (including ch-sps) to next marker on other front, turn. 60 (66: 72:78) sts. Remove markers.

Foundation row (WS): Ch3, 1tr in each st to last st, 2tr in last st, turn. 61 (67: 73:79) sts.

Row 1 (RS): Ch3, 1bptr, *1fptr, 1bptr; rep from * to end, turn.

Row 2 (WS): Ch3, 1fptr, *1bptr, 1fptr; rep from * to end, turn.

Rep last 2 rows once more, fasten off.

Making up

Join rem shoulder seam and neckband seam. Measure 20 (25:30:35)cm down from shoul-der seam and place a marker at either side edge of both fronts. Join sleeves between mark-ers. Join side and sleeve seams. Weave in ends and block to given measurements.
