Former Nigeria international Greg Etafia has been appointed as goalkeeper trainer of South Africa's second division side's, Cape Town All Stars.

The 33-year-old rejoined new head coach Patrick Mabedi, who he worked with previously as assistant coach at Moroka Swallows.  

The club considered several options for the vacant head coach position, but decided Patrick Mabedi was the best fit for Cape Town All Stars.

“Greg Etafia has a huge amount of experience as a goalkeeper in the PSL and like Patrick, is a young coach keen to make an impact on the game," general manager Faeez Dulvie announced the appointment.

"We are confident they will make a positive impact on the team and welcome them to the club.”

Dulvie confirmed that the new technical crew including Etafia will be unvield on Wednesday ahead of the side's clash with Santos at Parow Park on Friday.
