Greg Taylor has opened up on what went on between him and Todd Cantwell in Saturday's cup final.

The pair clashed during Celtic's win with the Rangers midfielder earning himself a booking when he was on his way off the pitch being subbed. It's not the first time they've been at each other's throats with the pair going at each other in previous derby clashes as well.

Cantwell is never too far from controversy and has had plenty of clashes with Callum McGregor too. He was trolled by his rivals after the match with Hoops players taking to Instagram to mock him over his 'shushburger' antics. That refers to the week before when the Englishman posted a picture of himself 'shushing' his own fans with that as the caption.

Taylor has now discussed what happened on the pitch and says the 26-year-old's fighting talk on the pitch got him charged up. Without wanting to make too much of it, the left-back says there were things said that made him unhappy.

He explained: “I like playing on the edge, definitely. He said a few things that I didn’t like. It was a good battle in the game, but it was important to get the win.

"I don’t want it to be a headline or that, I just didn’t like a couple of the things he said. But that’s fine, we move on. We went on and did the business, so it’s important we focus on us and the success we’ve had in winning a cup. Adam was key to that.”
