WEST HAM manager David Moyes has praised Albion and Graham Potter ahead of the match between the two sides on Sunday.

Albion have done well against the Hammers in the Premier League, remaining unbeaten in the ten games the two sides have played.

The last time the two sides met, Albion beat West Ham 3-1 at the Amex and Moyes admitted to The Argus after the game that there could be a "mental block" from his players against the Seagulls.

Ahead of this weekend's clash, Moyes was again asked about Albion and if they were a "bogey" team for the Hammers.

He said: "I've got loads of team like that in my history. It's not Brighton, but other teams as well.

"They have a good team, a manager who is doing very well, a structure they play to and have a lot of things going for them.

"We finished above them last year though, and we have to show that on Sunday."

West Ham have lost both of their opening league fixtures, and Moyes is hoping that his side can start catching up to the teams in the places that he is targeting.

He said: "It’s really important.

"We don’t want to get in a position where we’re too far behind because we want to challenge the boys at the top, so we need to get off the mark."
