Hang on - West Ham have cooled their interest in signing Arnaut Danjuma
Hang on - West Ham have cooled their interest in signing Arnaut Danjuma

WEST HAM have reportedly cooled their interest in signing former Bournemouth attacker Arnaut Danjuma.

The Dutchman enjoyed a great season for the Yellow Submarine last campaign scoring 16 goals and assisting three more in 34 appearances in La Liga and the Champions League.

This form had attracted the interest of the Hammers, who has been linked with his signature during his time with the Cherries.

Reports in Spain believe that Villarreal would be willing to cash in on their star winger, but will demand a figure of around £37.5million.

The 25-year-old is rumoured to want out of the Spanish club and he believes he has “unfinished business in England.

The winger would be able to provide manager David Moyes with another good option to add to his attack, which is needed following the exit of Andriy Yarmolenko and potential exit of Nikola Vlasic.

Moyes however is still undecided on the player and will make the final decision on signing the former Bournemouth attacker.

The Scot is still interested in signing former loan-star Jesse Lingard. The attacker is set to become a free-agent upon the expiry of his contract at Manchester United.

Another reported issue with the transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano, is peronsal terms.

The transfer expert said: "Personal terms are the real issue for Danjuma deal. West Ham have been in talks with Villarreal for weeks on €40m fee but still not even close to agreeing with Danjuma on personal terms/contract.

"West Ham want Danjuma but only at their conditions, so it’s not easy."
