Hamza Igamane makes one Rangers decision easy but Philippe Clement has St Johnstone balance to strike - predicted XI
After looking like world beaters against Nice, Rangers must ensure they don't revert to type in Perth today.
Philippe Clement's side have generally taken care of business in Europe, only to blow it on their return to league action. Why is the riddle they have to solve and it's why they are floundering 14 points behind Celtic and have a hell of a fight on their hands to even reel in Aberdeen and claim second place. St Johnstone seem to be steadily improving under Simo Valakari and the Light Blues will need to dig deep and find another performance after delighting their fans in the South of France.
Hamza Igamane grabbed his big chance with both hands, bagging a brace against the Ligue 1 outfit. Questions will be asked if he doesn't retain his starting spot and Cyriel Dessers can have no complaints over being benched, with even Danilo looking sharper off the bench. James Tavernier could return for domestic duty, while Leon Balogun may get a run in the centre of defence to keep things fresh with another game in midweek. Striking a balance between that and not jettisoning the team that's put in their best display of the season is Clement;s task.
