Harriman extends QPR deal

QPR defender Michael Harriman has signed a new two-year contract with the Barclays Premier League club.

Mark Hughes' side avoided relegation on the closing day of the season and 19-year-old Harriman wants to become a key figure as the team now look to stabilise in the top flight.

"I've been at the club for a while now and there's no other place that I'd rather be at the moment," he told the club's official website.

"The club's got some big ambitions and I'm hoping to be a part of those. My aim over the next couple of years is to try and become a regular in the first team side."

The Ireland youth international made his debut for Rangers in their 2-0 defeat to Rochdale in the second round of the Carling Cup last August and made his Premier League debut the following weekend at Wigan.
