There were joint winners of Tonge Cricket Club’s ‘Schofield Shield’ for outstanding junior player of the year this season.

AJ Pilkington and Harry Naylor were the recipients in the second year of the ward at the club’s annual junior presentation night on Saturday.

Award sponsor, and former club chairman, Paul Schofield told a packed clubhouse: “This year it was difficult to separate from the two, so we decided it’s only fair to declare AJ Pilkington and Harry Naylor, as joint winners of the Shield.”

The junior section at Tonge CC is coming on leaps and bounds, and for that, thanks were given to all their coaches and parents of the children.
