Harry Kane quality ‘undeniable’ as Dominic Calvert-Lewin backs England captain to start scoring at Euros

Harry Kane quality ‘undeniable’ as Dominic Calvert-Lewin backs England captain to start scoring at Euros

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has no doubt England captain Harry Kane will start firing at Euro 2020.

Kane has endured a difficult tournament so far, failing to score in any of England’s three group games.

Calvert-Lewin, however, is convinced the Tottenham striker will find his feet at the tournament as England prepare to take on Germany in the last-16.

Gareth Southgate’s side are hosting Germany at Wembley on Tuesday and they will hope Kane hits his stride at just the right time.

Asked if he sees Kane coming good at Euro 2020, Calvert-Lewin said: “Of course, he’s got undeniable quality.

“I think he leads the line, he’s the captain, so he is probably the first person people look at to kind of criticise.

“But, for me, he has done it consistently for a few seasons now, so I have got no doubt that he will perform on the big stage.”
