Harry Kane is set to win a clean sweep of Tottenham’s player of the season awards after what could be his final home game for the club against Aston Villa tonight.

Kane is expected to claim all three of Spurs’s in-house gongs, voted for by fans, as he closes in on being the first player to finish a Premier League season top of both the goals and assists charts.

Due to Covid restrictions, the club is expected to air a pre-recorded message from Kane post-match, in lieu of the usual pitch-side chat, to the 10,000 returning fans in attendance.

Kane wants to leave Spurs in the summer, preferably before the European Championship starts on June 11, and believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with chairman Daniel Levy to allow him to go – but the club do not want to sell their talisman, who has three years remaining on his contract.

Spurs’ interim head-coach Ryan Mason has insisted Kane will remain “100 percent committed” to finishing the season strongly, with Spurs aiming to tie up a Europa League place.

“Our only discussions have been about the game,” Mason said. “He’s going to be 100% committed. I’m looking forward to seeing him play in our beautiful stadium, in front of our fans. I think he starts tonight because he’s our best striker and one of the best strikers in the world.”

Heung-min Son has won all four of the club’s in-house awards for the previous two seasons but Erik Lamela is expected to win goal of the season this year for his rabona at Arsenal.
