Not content with meeting just one sporting legend in Diego Maradona on Sunday, Tottenham striker Harry Kane was also treated to some time with basketball icon Kobe Bryant after beating Liverpool.

Kane met Maradona before Sunday's Premier League match, with Argentina's World Cup-winning hero a special guest at Wembley having been team-mates with Mauricio Pochettino at Newell's Old Boys in the early 1990s.

The England striker was in superb form after meeting Maradona, scoring two goals and setting up another as Spurs strolled to an impressive 4-1 victory over Jurgen Klopp's side.

Following the match, Kane was seen exchanging words with NBA great Bryant, who spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won five NBA championships.

Spurs presented Bryant with a personalised jersey, and the 39-year-old posed for photos with Pochettino's squad in the Wembley dressing room.

Kane tweeted a picture of himself with the basketball icon, saying: "Amazing to meet @NBA's @kobebryant. Had a good chat after the game - he chose a good one to come and watch!"
