Hearts have officially launched their brand new Umbro home kit for season 2024/25.

Dark maroon in colour, the jersey is a nod to the era in which legendary striker John Robertson broke the Jambos’ all-time league goalscoring record, with subtle secondary maroon stripes running down the front and back. With a round collar, the kit is completed by brilliant white shorts and dark maroon socks that proudly carry the club’s name.

The stylish uniform hits shelves today as the club welcomes new front of shirt sponsors Stellar Omada in what is a record commercial kit deal for the Gorgie side. The traditional design seems to have gone down well with Hearts fans on social media as the likes of Craig Gordon, Frankie Kent and Kenneth Vargas modelled the new jersey.

However, some eagle-eyed fans were quick to jump to conclusions over the future of Lawrence Shankland after the skipper was posted missing from the promso. Scotland striker Shankland has been linked with a summer exit from Tynecastle after a remarkable 31-goal season, hoovering up every Player of the Year accolade.

The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract with the Jam Tarts and while Steven Naismith is desperate for him to extend his stay, Shankland himself has hinted that he could move on. And some supporters are convinced that the poster boy's absence from the shirt launch could spell bad news.

This worried punter wrote: "Shanks not in this he’s defo going."

Another said: "Could have put Shankland in the kit promo."

A third commented: "Tidy. No Shankland modelling it though."

While another added: "Lovely kit but bittersweet without shankland in the kit launch."
