Hearts hope to have a new manager in place BEFORE next month's international break.

The Jambos are on the search for their third manager in around a year-and-a-half after dispensing with Steven Naismith yesterday, the rookie boss paying the price for a winless start to the season. We told earlier how Tony Bloom's analytics company are set to be heavily involved in the hunt for a new figurehead.

Close to a deal to invest in the Tynecastle side and allow them to use his recruitment software for players, the Brighton owner could also become a minority shareholder at some point if the link-up is successful. The data also works for coaches and managers and Hearts will have access to it as they seek Naismith's replacement.

Liam Fox has stepped up from the B team for the time being and the interim boss will be in charge for the home league game against Ross County this weekend and then likely the Euro tie against Dinamo Minsk and then a trip to Aberdeen. Following that is an international break and it was thought that could be an ideal time to make an appointment.

However, STV is now reporting that Hearts hope to have their new man in place BEFORE the international break.

Scottish managers like Derek McInnes and Alex Neil have been banded about as early candidates but with Jamestown Analytics' involvement it is likely to be a left-field appointment. Foreign bosses like Vladimir Queseda of Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica and Brann SK's Eirik Horneland have also been mentioned.
