Who is Henrique Carmo? New Brazilian wonderkid eyed by Chelsea with transfer offer sent
Chelsea seem to have identified another potential wonderkid transfer with a brand new Brazilian teenager firmly locked in their sights. Over the last few years, the Blues have signed the likes of Marc Guiu, Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Omari Kellyman, Cesare Casadei, Renato Veiga and many others as ones for the future.
Due to the sheer amount of senior players also being snapped-up, several players have been left with uncertain futures which has even seen the likes of Angelo Gabriel and Diego Moreira depart permanently. Despite that, the plan remains in place to sign the next generation of talent and either help them break into the first-team or sell on for a tidy for profit - with both scenarios helping the club.
With that being said, Sau Paulo wonderkid Henrique Carmo is attracting 'interest' from both Chelsea and Everton. The latter and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to have made an approach for the Brazil international, according to UOL, amid mounting speculation over the Sao Paulo forward.
AS Monaco, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and AC Milan have also been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk said to have already submitted an £8million bid which was rejected. A deal in January is certainly possible, though, and as a result, football.london has taken a look at everything there is to know about Carmo;
Who is Henrique Carmo?
Carmo was born in Joinville, Brazil, on November 9 in 2006 and has been with Sao Paulo since he was seven years old. In late 2022, having just turned 16, he signed his first professional contract with a senior debut for his boyhood club arriving just over one month ago against Vitoria.
The 17-year-old is traditionally a right-winger by trade, but he has played in central midfield for his country during international friendlies at Under-16 level. From eight appearances in the 2024/2025 campaign, he has scored one goal and picked up one assist - with both of those coming in a 5-1 victory against Vitoria Under-21s earlier this year.

What's been said about him?
Considering his rapid rise to professional football, Carmo has already been linked to a transfer, with many clubs sending proposals to the Brazilian outfit. "We had very similar proposals for both [Carmo and William Gomes] of them, club chief Carlos Belmonte said in an interview with Arnaldo Ribeiro and Eduardo Tironi, via Globo.
"We think we need to have them on the field first, see them playing, understand how much value they can have. The boys charm everyone on a daily basis, they have a bright future, but we are calm at the moment."
