London Irish full-back Henry Arundell has signed a new long-term contract with the Premiership club having first arrived at their academy as a 14-year-old.

The now 20-year-old’s inaugural season with the senior side has seen him score seven tries in 14 outings including his fantastic solo effort in the Challenge Cup versus Toulon in May.

Arundell‘s near-perfect rookie year with the Exiles has now earned him a place with England‘s senior training squad ahead of the Barbarians fixture next Sunday.

He has been on Eddie Jones’ radar since finishing as the joint leading try-scorer in the recent U20 Six Nations thanks to the progress he’s made with the Brentford side.

Easy decision

“It was a no brainer to extend my time at London Irish,” said Arundell.

“The club have given me so much already in my young career and I want to repay their faith in me in the years to come.

“With the squad and coaches that we have at London Irish, the future is exciting and I’m very happy to get the chance to be a part of it.”
