The 16-year-old's ability to repeat her 2011 heroics, she won 200m gold at the World Youth Championships in Lille, was in doubt after she was sidelined for ten months with a knee injury.
But Henry proved her doubters wrong last month as she stormed to 100m gold at the Loughborough International while also taking 200m bronze, her preferred distance for next month's World Junior Championships.
Having dipped under the qualifying standard last weekend, running 23.79 seconds to come fourth at the Bedford International Games, a victory on her return this weekend will see her handed a ticket to Barcelona, something Henry insists she won't let slip through her fingers.
She said: "I have been getting some decent times and I have only just come back from an injury, so I just need to keep going and running faster.
"For me it is about running well at the right time, and I think I am prepared to do that. I am feeling really good at the moment.
"I will try to get onto the team for the World Junior Championships and I will be hoping to come back with a medal, for sure, I know I am capable of that.
"I know the competition will be tough, and I will be going as one of the youngest, but that doesn't put me off at all. I will be really happy to finish in the top three.
"I don't think I have many rivals at the moment in this country. I have a completely different mind-set from others, I concentrate on me.
"I am in a good place right now, and I don't feel like I have many British rivals, especially as a 200m specialist."
With such confidence it comes as little surprise Henry is looking to also make her mark at the upcoming Olympic trials in Birmingham - injury permitting.
And the Enfield and Haringey AC sprinter admits she will be hunting down training partner and former world junior 100m champion Jodie Williams after reassessing her own warm-up routine.
"If I am doing OK, then I may as well go in for the Olympic trials to get some experience," added Henry. "Jodie [Williams] is running in the trials, so it would be a good opportunity.
"I have had to adapt my training because I am so injury prone. I now do an hour-and-a-half of warm-up opposed to just 30 minutes.
"I am feeling a lot stronger now and more confident about my strength. So far I haven't had any further problems with my knee so hopefully it can continue and I can have a really good season."
