Hollyoaks' Romeo Nightingale left injured as dark Rayne Royce story continues
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Romeo Nightingale has been left injured at the hands of his abusive girlfriend Rayne Royce in Hollyoaks.
Viewers have recently seen Rayne's manipulation of her boyfriend turn into outright physical abuse whenever he's done something she disapproves of.
In Thursday's (September 21) first-look episode, Romeo felt more alienated when Leela revealed she'd received a letter from Donna-Marie in rehab since he'd not got anything from his mother.

There was more to this than met the eye since Rayne simultaneously put pressure on Romeo to focus solely on helping her catch talent agent Faye's interest with her party event.
Later, Romeo was shocked and hurt to find that Donna-Marie had sent him a letter after all but Rayne had seemingly hidden it away in her bag.
Rome's first reaction was to tell Rayne he didn't want any more involvement with her party or her influencer career due to the betrayal.
Later though, a reluctant Romeo felt as though he had no choice but to join Rayne for her live stream promoting the party even though he was in obvious physical pain.

Once the stream ended, Rayne complained that Romeo wasn't more enthusiastic before he lifted his shirt to reveal he was still hurting from gruesome scratches across his midsection.
Rayne hurriedly pulled Romeo's shirt back down and tried to keep him under her control by claiming everything she was doing was for their benefit.
"And you won't believe what I have planned for next week," she excitedly announced.
Next week's dramatic episodes will see Rayne ultimately end up dead when her getaway weekend with friends and neighbours takes a dark turn that will change Romeo's life forever.
From Monday, September 25, Hollyoaks will stream first online via Channel 4 each weekday. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
