Joel Rosario (jockey, race winner Orb): “I was so far behind, but Orb was very relaxed. It’s exactly what I wanted.”

Shug McGaughey III (trainer, Orb): “It’s a very special feeling, like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. The reactions are just way beyond what I’d imagined. When I saw the rain falling, I said to myself that it didn’t help me the last time, but this time it did.”

Stuart Janney (co-owner, Orb): “I just couldn't be more delighted that we're doing this together with Dinny (Phipps, his cousin and Orb’s other owner). This horse's bloodline goes back to our grandmother.”

Dallas Stewart (trainer, runner-up Golden Soul): “Robby (Albarado) told me he had a great race. He had a superb ride and he’s had two fantastic weeks here. He had a huge appetite and we really think Golden Soul is a great horse.”

Calvin Borel (jockey, third-placed Revolutionary): “I’m very pleased. I could have got a bit closer but I just couldn’t get up there.”

Javier Castellano (jockey, fourth-placed Normandy Invasion): “I really think I could have won the race but unfortunately the final turn was awful.”

Rosie Napravnik (jockey, fifth-placed Mylute): “I’m very excited about scoring the highest finish by a female jockey. The most positive thing is the horse and the way we ran. Mylute is very talented.”
