Oxbow will start Saturday's Triple Crown race in New York in the seventh position - just as seven previous winners have done.

But Lukas is not convinced where his horse, ridden by Gary Stevens, starts will have a bearing on where he finishes.

“It’s nice for the press to have something to write about, but we have a tendency to overanalyse the post-position draw," Lukas said.

"I’m more concerned about who is around me and what they’re going to do than what gate we got.”
