Star American jockey Gary Stevens has been invited to contest the Dubai World Cup with Dullahan on March 30.

Even though he has just celebrated his 50th birthday, Stevens – who has just come out of a well-earned eight-year retirement – will have the chance to participate in the season’s first major international meeting.

His invitation came in the wake of the absence of his fellow countryman John Velazquez, who disappointed with an 11th place finish in the Burj Nahaar (Group 3), held on the Tapeta at Meydan in early March.
