Horse Racing: Thursday's market movers

Over at Cork in the 15.00, SHES FLAT TOTHEMAT has been well backed for trainer Michael Winters. The 4yo was last seen finishing three lengths behind the current race favourite Leomar just 6 days ago at Wexford, showing a huge improvement from her fist start. 5/1 with one bookmaker last night, she’s now as short as 13/8 with one firm (best price 2/1).

In the 16.20 at Chepstow there has been support for MYSTERY DRAMA. The Alex Dunne 7yo was a winner of a 2m hurdle over three years ago and has not won since over obstacles. Well beaten last time out when finishing sixth of eight, more is obviously expected today with the 10/1 on offer snapped up by punters and the mount of Richie McLernon is now just 7/2 with one bookie (5/1 best price).

Also at Chepstow this afternoon, CAILEACH ANNIE has seen his odds tumble all morning. 15/2 this morning, the 8yo is now into as short as 7/2 in places. Last seen finishing well ebaten in 5th 40 days ago at Uttoxeter when sent off 7/2 co-fav, it looks like punters have come again for the one-time winner.

In Wolverhampton’s 14.55 SURROUND SOUND has been making plenty of noise in this morning’s market. Tim Easterby’s 7yo was second at the course 9 days ago over two furlongs further and punters obviously believe the step back in trip will suite, backing him in from 5/1 this morning to 11/4 with one bookie.
