Horse Racing Tips: Writing is on the wall for Authors Dream

Oddschecker

3:10 Lingfield – Authors Dream 11/8 – 3pts

By far the most popular horse with Oddschecker users so far today the 4yo showed a marked improvement for the step up in trip on his return to action at Wolverhampton in March, when finishing runner-up. Bill Knight’s yard has been impressive form over the last few weeks (4 winners from their last 7 runners) and champion jockey Jim Crowley taking the ride today can only boost the chances of another continuing the stable’s hot streak.

4:10 Lingfield – Tafaakhor 7/1 – 1pt
The Richard Hannon runner was as big as 9/1 this morning but has been backed into as short as 5/1 with some bookmakers. He’s been a very popular pick with Oddschecker users, who must have been encouraged by his win at Brighton over 7f last time out. That man Jim Crowley takes the ride powerful connections and although he is more exposed than some of today’s rivals he does set a useful standard.

4:30 Redcar – Gilgamesh 13/8 – 3pts
If Tafaakhor can do the business at Lingfield then it will only enhance the chances of George Scott’s 3yo. Last seen beating the former by a head at Wolverhampton, he’s now won three of his four career starts to date. He will need to step up again on what he has achieved so far but he’s proven himself over today’s conditions already and the gelding looks well treated compared to the rest of his rivals.

6:30 Sedgefield – Four Mile Beach 5/1 – 1pt
Oddschecker have seen plenty of big bets for Four Mile Beach this morning after a much improved performance over course and distance last time out. Top jockey Brian Hughes will be doing the steering again and if the 4yo can build on that run he should go close in what looks an open race.

8:20 Clonmel – Lachares – Evs – 2pts
A two-time winner over hurdles in March, the 4yo put in another decent run last time out at Cork. His trainer Ellmarie Holden has been in fine form the last couple of weeks (3 winners from 3 runners) and given in-form amateur jockey Jamie Codd takes the ride he should have every chance of winning this evening.
