Horse Racing: Wednesday's Market Movers

The closing bumper race at Carlisle (16:35) sees NOCTURNAL MYTH, a 4yo who has never been run before, who has been backed from 11/2 to no bigger than 5/2 this morning. No one quite knows how well the Anthony Honeyball owned gelding will do but his wife, former point-to-point champion jockey, Rachael Green returns on Nocturnal Myth, which bodes well.

Over at Wolverhampton (16:15) there has been significant support for CALVADOS SPIRIT, who has been backed in from 10/1 to 4/1. The William Muir trained 4yo gelding has not placed in two rides since winning at Newbury in August but connections will be hoping for a return to winning ways here.

ARCTIC LADY has been shown some support at Wincanton (15:55), moving from 12/1 to 11/2 this morning. Trained by Tom George, the 6yo mare has only placed once in six lifetime starts over hurdles and finished at the back of the field last time out in March but faces no stern competition this time out.
