Stanley Accrington runs his eye over the latest transfer gossip and finds that with the January window almost open there are plenty of rumours.

HOT FOOTBALL TRANSFER GOSSIP: Isco, Berahino, Austin, Fabregas

Not content with the attacking talents of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Jesus Navas and Samir Nasri et al, Manchester City want to sign Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Isco, according to Spanish site Fichajes. They are reporting that Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano is in Madrid to hold talks over a potential transfer.

And Saido Berahinho's churlish behaviour at West Brom hasn't stopped Tottenham from sniffing around the striker - the want-away striker's price is dropping by the week, which is sure to please Spurs' notoriously hard negotiator Daniel Levy. Spurs had at least two bids turned down in the summer and could even be willing to offer £14million-valued winger Andros Townsend in exchange, says The Times.

However, the Baggies could face competition for Townsend (if they want him) with Watford, Aston Villa and Newcastle all reportedly interested.

Should Spurs fail in their pursuit of Berahino again, they could turn to another Sandro - promising Barcelona forward Ramirez - according to Spanish site Sport.

Sticking with strikers, Patrick Bamford's decision to end his loan spell at Crystal Palace could see him joining Swansea, who are willing to sell Bafetimbi Gomis amid interest from the Middle East, according to the Daily Mail.

And with Crystal Palace a little light up front, the Sun are reporting the Eagles will turn to QPR's Charlie Austin or Chelsea's Loic Remy to fill Bamford's not-so-big void.

The Croydon Advertiser are also reporting Palace are interested in the R's Steven Caulker who is on loan at Southampton.

In Chelsea news, Cesc Fabregas the Mail are reporting he remains in Guus HIddink's plans for now, and Italian outlet Calciomercato report the Blues have approached Juventus over signing Paul Pogba - we'll believe this one when we see it.

Finally, Liverpool are considering making a £4million pound bid for Leicester's promising fullback Ben Chilwell, who was targeted by Arsenal in the summer.
