Hot Football Transfer Gossip: Bellerin 'keen on Man City move', Aguero 'wants to join Real Madrid', Tottenham 'target Rabiot'

Wanted men: Bellerin, Aguero, Rabiot

Yaaay good news Arsenal fans: Hector Bellerin is going to reject a move to Barcelona.

Booo bad news Arsenal fans: Hector Bellerin is going to accept a move to Manchester City instead.

According to eminent tabloid publication the Daily Star, the Spanish right-back would prefer to take the Samir Nasri/Bacary Sagna/Emmanuel Adebayor route out of the Emirates rather than the Cesc Fabregas/Thierry Henry/Marc Overmars/Emmanuel Petit route. But either way, he’ll probably be seeking a way out at some point.

The presence of Pep Guardiola in Manchester is said to be one of the key factors that could lure the 21-year-old north. That and the fact he really likes the Charlatans’ first two albums.

Luckily for City, playing with Sergio Aguero is not mentioned as one of Bellerin’s incentives, because it doesn’t look as if the Argentine will be sticking around the Etihad for long.

The Sun says Aguero is “eyeing” a big-money move to Real Madrid at the end of the season. With his eyes.

The 28-year-old club legend reportedly has “no intention of spending more time on the City bench”, which is where he may be sent when Gabriel Jesus returns from injury. The move would cost Real “more than £60m” – although the price tag seems the least relevant piece of information when discussing transfers between these two clubs.

Alexandre Lacazette has been linked with Liverpool – albeit tenuously

Using the scantiest of raw materials, the Mirror has ingeniously concocted a story titled ‘Alexandre Lacazette set for Anfield summer switch?’, in which it suggests Liverpool could sign the Lyon striker for £50m – a possibility it bases entirely on the following quote from French “football expert” Julien Laurens on BT Sport the other day.

“I think he will go to England. Whether that is Liverpool, Arsenal or Tottenham – I don’t know.” Powerful stuff.

Meanwhile, Celtic striker Moussa Dembele’s market value continues to rise by the hour, with the Express saying the young Frenchman could now be worth £50m – at least that is what his Bhoys team-mate Cristian Gamboa “reckons”.

Leicester seem to be having a hard time finding someone to step into the still-warm-and-comfy shoes of Claudio Ranieri, with Guus Hiddink “reluctant” to take over as Foxes manager (Guardian) and Nantes boss Sergio Conceicao having “rejected” the chance to replace Ranieri (Sun).

All of which means caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare could end up getting the job on a permanent basis (Guardian). Has he managed in the Champions League before?

Elsewhere, Everton are poised to make a £28m offer for Burnley defender Michael Keane (Star), Tottenham are set to “revive their interest” in 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot (Mirror) and Arsenal are preparing to “woo” teenage wonderkid Jadon Sancho to the Emirates from Man City (also Mirror). If he’s any good, City can just buy him back in a few years.
