Burnley boss Eddie Howe is hoping Martin Paterson will not face another month on the sidelines after suffering a fresh hamstring injury.
The Clarets striker limped out of Saturday's 5-1 win over Portsmouth, just six weeks after returning from a similar problem.
Paterson joins fellow forward Jay Rodriguez on the sidelines as Howe's attacking problems continue to mount.
"He has a slight problem with his hamstring, we still don't know how serious it is," he told the club's official website.
"We will get it scanned, hopefully on Monday, and find out the extent of the damage.
"We don't think it's a serious one and hopefully it will just be a week or two."
