Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle speaks out on sealing Joe Taylor transfer from Luton Town
Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has spoken of his pride at securing the services of Joe Taylor. The striker completed his move to the John Smith's Stadium on Friday, joining the Terriers for an undisclosed fee from Championship strugglers Luton Town.
Town's perseverance finally paid off as they missed out on signing Taylor last summer. Reacting on social media platform X over the weekend, Nagle wrote: "Very proud to sign a new striker so early in this January window, especially one that we’ve been interested in for so long!
"Huge thanks and congratulations to Mark (Cartwright, sporting director), especially on getting this deal done, also Jake (Edwards, chief executive) and his whole team at the Club as well."

Taylor is Town's second signing of the window, following on from Dutch wing back Ruben Roosken. The 22-year-old could make his debut on Saturday when Michael Duff's men visit Blackpool.
"Thank you for your kind words, Town fans," added Nagle. "I’m just as excited as you for this second half of the season! I know Michael (Duff) and the team want to keep this run going. UTT!!!"
Taylor enjoyed two successful loan spells at Colchester United in League Two and Lincoln City in League One. "The way he completed last season on loan with Lincoln City at this level right at the top of the league speaks to his character and will to succeed, and those are values we want to see in our players - you can never have too many winners in your group," said Duff, whose side are fourth in the standings, four points off the automatic promotion spots.
