Hull City sent 'angry' Luton Town warning for Championship showdown
Hull City will face a fired-up Luton Town when Championship hostilities resume on Saturday. While Tim Walter's side are looking find the spark of consistency that can finally get their campaign up and running, this weekend's hosts Luton are having a similarly difficult time.
The Hatters won many admirers in the Premier League last term, even if their gutsy bid to avoid relegation ultimately ended in failure. They were expected to among the frontrunners in this season's promotion race, but things have turned out very differently for Rob Edwards' side.
City will head to Kenilworth Road level on points with Luton, with the Tigers only out of the relegation zone on goal difference - and the Hatters by virtue of scoring more goals than third-bottom Cardiff City. Both sides are desperate for a win after the international break to ease the growing pressure, with Hull without a victory in their last seven.

Luton have recorded recent wins over Watford and fellow strugglers Cardiff, but headed into the break on the back of a 5-1 thumping at Middlesbrough. It was a result and performance that incensed captain Carlton Morris, who came off the bench having been rested following midweek exertions and picked up a quick booking for a strong challenge.
However, he feels that was necessary to raise the levels of his team-mates, and insists he won't stand around and allow them to meekly surrender when Hull City arrive in town.
“I think that's my responsibility, that's my role in the team and setting the standard of what should and shouldn’t be acceptable," Morris told Luton Today. "If I'm going to see players passing the ball, taking the mick a bit, I'm not going to let that stand. I don’t think my team-mates should either, so that was a frustrating moment in the game as well. It was disappointing to be booked, but that happens, it’s part and parcel.
“My mindset in football is I never like to get too low and I never like to get too high when it's going well either. So in my head we've got this international break now to focus, set things right and get in the dressing room next week to make sure the lads are on board and in the right headspace to kick on. It’s (defeat) annoying, but we can’t just dwell on that. We’ve got to go back, watch the footage, see what we’ve done wrong at points and make it right."
City return to Humberside for a midweek showdown with Sheffield Wednesday at the MKM Stadium before making the short trip north to face Middlesbrough on Saturday, November 30.
