Hull City set for major decision over Tim Walter's future after fresh development
Tim Walter is on the cusp of losing his job as Hull City manager after less than 150 days in charge at the MKM Stadium following Tuesday night's dismal 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Walter was booed and jeered throughout what turned out to be a dismal performance at the MKM Stadium, with City slumping to their fourth straight Championship defeat, a result which leaves them 22nd in the Championship ahead of Saturday's trip to Middlesbrough.
It's understood owner Acun Ilicali will chair a board meeting at City on Wednesday with Walter's future top of the agenda with the feeling being the German will be relieved of his duties, and the search commencing for a new head coach.

Ilicali has been staunch in his support for Walter in recent weeks, telling Hull Live during the international break that he backed the former Hamburg chief to turn things around, while he doubled down on that support ahead of Tuesday's clash with the Owls.
The manner of the performance against Wednesday, who scored twice through Josh Windass and Michael Smith, coupled with the growing level of anger from the terraces, has boxed Ilicali into a position he didn't want to be in, but ultimately has been left with little alternative but to make a change.
Walter remained defiant in the late hours on Tuesday evening, and vowed to fight on and night resign from his post, but it now appears that decision will be taken out of his hands.
"For me, it's no problem (the abuse)," Walter told Hull Live. "I can understand everything, but for the lads, it's a problem. They can say what they like against me, it's no problem. But for the lads, because they are still young and they are not really experienced, it's even harder than for me. I can understand if you don't win nine games in a row, then it's normal," when asked about the fans wanting him to be sacked.
"I'm angry about me myself, you know, because I want to win games, I want to win games, and I've never had that situation. If you look at my statistics, I won more games than I lost, and now I have lost that many games. For me, it's a horror, really."
Club legend and current assistant boss to Walter, Andy Dawson, would be expected to take temporary charge of first team affairs in the short term, while the club draw up a list of potential replacements.
