Coaches

Hull have a brand new head coach in John Cartwright, who has signed a three-year deal from the 2025 season. The Aussie started week four of pre-season training this Monday morning. Elsewhere, Hull have also brought back Andy Last to the club as assistant coach, with Simon Grix also returning to his assistant role. Gareth Ellis also has a new role within the performance department.

Backroom staff

Hull have appointed Andy Shea as their new head physiotherapist. They have also appointed Jon Clarke in a conditioning consistency role, with the former Warrington hooker, renowned as one of the best strength and conditioning coaches in the game, present for the start of pre-season earlier this month. The club are also looking to appoint another physio to work under Shea.

New Director of Rugby

Hull FC parted ways with former CEO James Clark in April, with Richie Myler coming in as Director of Rugby. He also signed a three-year deal and has been in charge of all rugby operations at the club.

Takeover

Current chairman Adam Pearson has entered a period of exclusivity with Andrew Thirkill and David Bond, with a full takeover expected to be finalised soon. The duo are understood to be worth around £500 million.

Opening of new training hub

Hull FC are now benefiting from their own identity on campus, with their new hub complete. The hub is equipped with changing rooms, video rooms, physio rooms, storage, a coaches office, a kitchen, and a social area, enhancing the squads day-to-day experience at training, something that players have told Hull Live has created a more professional environment at the club.
