Hull KR duo Ryan Hall and George King will both be out of action for the next few weeks after getting injured in Sunday’s defeat to Huddersfield.

Hall, who has scored 12 tries from 17 appearances so far this term, was the first of the pair to leave the field at Craven Park. The winger picked up a rib cartilage issue and will definitely miss Saturday’s trip to relegation-threatened Toulouse. The Robins say veteran Hall will then be monitored in the run-up to their derby with Hull on July 10.

Utility forward King meanwhile didn’t see out the first half on Sunday either. He sustained a hamstring tear, and is now expected to miss between two and four weeks of action.

Hall and King are in good company on the KR treatment tables. Tony Smith’s side have been hampered with injuries throughout this year.

Centre Kane Linnett is likely to feature again before the end of the season. He ruptured his bicep earlier this season and required surgery.

Back-rower Luis Johnson meanwhile suffered the same injury against St Helens earlier this month. He also had surgery, but will now not recover in time to play any further part this year.

Jordan Abdull (quad tear) and Brad Takairangi (hamstring tear) are also out for the remainder of 2022. Takairangi may well not play another game for KR.

Elsewhere, youngster Dan Okoro is also expected miss the rest of the season. The prop, 19, has had ligament surgery. Fellow youngster Charlie Cavanaugh dislocated his kneecap in a reserves game against Huddersfield. He however won’t be out of action for too much longer.

And finally in the Robins camp, there’s also a serious injury to the captain of their Women’s side. Aaliyah Brewster sustained a double-leg fracture. She will undergo surgery later this week and unsurprisingly, will be out for the remainder of the campaign.
