Hull KR star has dreamed of brothers playing together but one is joining Wests Tigers
One of Hull Kingston Rovers half-back Tyrone May's brothers - Terrell - is heading for Wests Tigers, with the Robins' half-back having previously spoken about the prospect of them all playing together.
In July, Hull KR's May had said “we’ve spoken about all playing together" - after the other May brother who has played in professional rugby league, Taylan, had been seen spectating at a Rovers game wearing one of their replica shirts. Taylan May was staying with Tyrone May at the time while dealing with off-field issues.
Tyrone May, 28, is the oldest of the three brothers with Terrell May being 25 and Taylan May being 23 - with all three having represented Samoa as well as playing in the NRL. Terrell May, who is leaving Sydney Roosters, was recently in the UK before flying back, after representing Samoa in their away Test series defeat against England - who included his Sydney Roosters team-mates at the time, Victor Radley and Dom Young.

In a statement, Wests Tigers confirmed: "Wests Tigers has agreed to terms with Samoa international, Terrell May, on a three-year deal commencing in 2025. An NRL playing contract with Wests Tigers will be signed in due course.
"One of the most sought-after forwards in the game, May joins the Tigers after spending three seasons at the Sydney Roosters, where he made his NRL debut in 2022. The 25-year-old from Western Sydney played in all 27 games in 2024, the only player at the Roosters to do so."
On Samoa duty, Terrell May also teamed up with Jarome Luai and Jeral Skelton, who have also been recruited by Wests Tigers. Terrell May will join his new club for pre-season training in the first week of January. Wests Tigers head coach Benji Marshall stated: "Terrell is a good person first and foremost, and it’s great that he will be joining us."
One of Hull KR's Super League challengers Warrington Wolves - who lost to Rovers in the play-off semi-final after finishing one place below the second-placed Robins in the table - had been loaned John Bateman from Wests Tigers at the end of last season.
