Hull KR interim coach Danny McGuire will be forced to name a young squad for Thursday’s trip to Wigan, with 14 first team players on the sidelines.

The Robins will be without the majority of their salary cap for this week’s televised clash.

KR will be without injured forwards Dean Hadley, Luis Johnson, Kane Linnett, Matty Storton, Albert Vete, Tom Garratt and Frankie Halton. Fiji prop Korbin Sims is suspended.

In the backs, there will be no Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Ryan Hall, Mikey Lewis, Brad Takairangi, Jimmy Keinhorst and Jordan Abdull.

Germany international Keinhorst has been named in McGuire’s squad – but will not play due to the 11-day return-to-play protocol. He will be back to face Toulouse next week.

Lewis suffered an ankle sprain in last week’s 30-22 win at Warrington. He will go for a scan later this week to determine the extent of his injury. England winger Hall misses their trip to Wigan with a suspected calf tear.

Youngsters come in for Hull KR

Youngsters Zack Fishwick, Harvey Moore, Connor Barley, Charlie Cavanaugh, Connor Moore, Will Tate and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e come in for KR.

As for Wigan, coach Matt Peet has been able to name an unchanged 21-man squad. Ireland international Brad Singleton will serve the final game of his suspension this week.

Hull KR: Coote, Crooks, Parcell, King, Litten, Minchella, Keinhorst, Dagger, Milnes, Maher, Ryan, Wood, Richards, Tate, Laulu-Togaga’e, Cavanaugh, Moore, Royle, Moore, Barley.

Wigan: French, Bibby, Marshall, Cust, Powell, Mago, Isa, Farrell, Smithies, Ellis, Smith, Partington, Havard, Byrne, Pearce-Paul, Shorrocks, Field, Miski, Halsall, O’Neill, Cooper.

The Warriors take on the Robins at the DW Stadium on Thursday night, 8pm kick-off.
