The Hundred: Rashid Khan Seen With The Colours Of Afghanistan Flag On His Face

Star Afghanistan Leg spinner Rashid Khan is currently playing for Trent Rockets in the new format of cricket The Hundred. However, he is going through a tough phase of his life and is not in a healthy state of mind. The reason behind this is the unfortunate incident that happened in his country Afghanistan. Notably, after the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, Taliban took control of the country.

Meanwhile, On Friday Southern Brave went head to head against Trent Rockets in the match. In the match, Trent Rockets were only able to post 96 runs while batting first after losing the toss. Moreover, the Southern Brave was able to chase the target comfortably as they managed to complete the chase in just 68 balls. Meanwhile Southern Brave won the match by 7 wickets and 32 balls remaining.

Notably, During the match Star spinner, Rashid Khan was seen with an Afghanistan flag face paint to show love and support for his country. Since the incident happened he has been seen posting several tweets regarding the matter. In one of his tweets,he wrote:

“Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos,thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed. Thousand families displaced. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace.”

Meanwhile, On 19 August he posted another tweet with his pictures attached to it he wrote:

“Today let us take some time to value our nation and never forget the sacrifices. We hope and pray for the peaceful, developed and United nation INSHALLAH #happyindependenceday “

“Rashid Khan is worried: he can’t get his family out of Afghanistan” Kevin Pietersen

Recently, Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen revealed the chat which he had with the Rashid Khan on boundary ropes. Pietersen told that Rashid is worried because he can’t get his family out of Afghanistan. Also, he lauded leg spinner for playing cricket despite soo many things going on in his life. Kevin stated:

“There’s a lot of things that are happening at home. We had a long chat here on the boundary talking about it and he’s worried: he can’t get his family out of Afghanistan and there’s a lot of things happening for him.“For him to turn up and put on a performance like this under the pressure that he is currently under… for him to be able to forget that stuff and navigate his story and continue the momentum that he has – I think that’s probably one of the most heart-warming stories of this Hundred so far.”
