Ibrahima Konate may not have won the man of the match award against Wolves on Saturday but he was certainly the star of the show as Liverpool ran out 2-1 winners.

The Frenchman popped up with his second goal of the season and first ever in the Premier League with another header in the dying embers of the first-half, before being at fault for Wolves' equalizer following a calamitous mix-up with goalkeeper Alisson just 11 minutes after the restart.

The center-back then stole the limelight with his post-match interview on Sky Sports, causing a ruckus when Ryan Gravenberch was handed the man of the match award instead of him and demanding to know how the producers reached that decision, much to the amusement of everyone watching.

But before that, however, Konate also showed another side to his boisterous character following the full-time whistle inside the stadium, with the cameras capturing him taking off his shirt and running over to the away end to hand it to a young fan watching from the stands.

The young supporter was visibly made-up at the once-in-a-lifetime gesture from the Liverpool defender, jumping for joy at the moment he handed over his shirt at the front of the stand. Ironically, the supporter was also wearing a red Reds shirt with the number five on the back.

Not only had Konate scored and played a vital role in Liverpool's victory over Wolves, but he'd also made a young fan's day with his heartfelt post-match gesture, endearing himself further to Reds fans as he continues to shine in an impressive campaign.

Despite that second-half mix-up between himself and Alisson that led to Wolves' equalizer, Konate remained resolute throughout the remainder of the game as he continues to keep Jarell Quansah out of the side since replacing the young defender at half-time against Ipswich on the opening weekend.

The France international will be expected to retain his place for Wednesday's visit of Bologna in the Champions League as the Reds go in search of another three points to follow up their 3-1 victory over AC Milan in gameweek one, where Konate also happened to score with a header.
