Franzen's ninth goal of the season was scored from near the crease and was set up by linemates Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar.

Centers Joakim Andersson and Tomas Tatar also scored for the Red Wings, who have won five of six since losing forward Pavel Datsyuk to a concussion.

Blue Jackets 4, Wild 0

Goaltender Curtis McElhinney made 20 saves for his first shutout in nearly three years, leading the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 4-0 rout of the Minnesota Wild.

Cam Atkinson, Nick Foligno, Boone Jenner and R.J. Umberger scored, while Ryan Johansen had two assists for the Blue Jackets, who have won back-to-back games by shutouts.

Hurricanes 5, Sharks 3

Rookie center Elias Lindholm scored the go-ahead goal in the Carolina Hurricanes' four-goal third period as they rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the San Jose Sharks 5-3.

Lindholm found room near the crease to score the winning goal with six minutes to play, giving Carolina their season-best three-game winning streak.

The Sharks, who lost 5-1 on Thursday at Pittsburgh, have gone pointless in consecutive games for the first time this season.
