I'd be embarrassed if I was Alisson Becker - Caoimhin Kelleher Liverpool treatment isn't fair

Caoimhin Kelleher has been magnificent and I actually think Arne Slot has got a really big decision to make in the next few weeks. Once Alisson is fit, I don’t think it’s fair if Kelleher gets demoted to the bench.

I think he’s been absolutely first-class. He’s been faultless with everything he has done in the games, and I think Ali will be looking at it and be embarrassed if he went back in because he’s done such a good job.

So it’s a big dilemma what he does in that position. Just say, for instance, Ben Doak had come in when Mohamed Salah was injured last season and scored 10 goals in five games. What would you do? Put Mo straight back in?

It’s sleepless nights because football always used to be that if you were scoring goals, you stayed in the team. If you’re keeping clean sheets, you stay in the team.

It’s going to be really interesting and it’s going to be difficult for the manager.

Trent will be desperate to be back for Real Madrid

We’ve had a few injuries this year. Jota’s been out for a while, we’re without the best goalkeeper in the world in Alisson. But you’ve got to just do what you can. You do need a little bit of luck with injuries, of course you do. But you just get on with it. We just keep winning and we keep getting on with it, unlike certain others who have been moaning.

It was disappointing to see Trent come off against Aston Villa, but I’m glad to hear it’s not serious. Surely he will be back in time for Real Madrid, especially with all the talk about Real Madrid, surely he will be desperate to play in that game.

You would want to play against the reigning European champions, big European night at Anfield regardless. Let’s hope he’s back for it.

They’re a massive, massive club. Right up there with the very biggest clubs in the world. But so are Liverpool.

Massive thanks for helping us save Zoe’s Place

I want to thank everyone for helping to save Zoe’s Place. We’re absolutely delighted that they’ve survived.

We’ve been backing them for some time now with Forever Reds and we were so proud that our £150k donation went some way to help them survive - along with other good Liverpool people, none more so than Tom Morris at Home and Bargain.

Zoe’s Place is close to our hearts. We do a lot of things which people don’t know, for the ex-players in particular, because that’s why we have the Forever Reds Christmas lunch, which will take place on December 6 at Anfield this year.

Last year we raised £70k off the back of that, and our Golf Day in the summer raised £50k. There’s also the Legends game which we get a percentage of, so we had quite a few bob in the kitty and we were in a position to donate 150k to Zoe’s Place.

So all the people that came to that game, all the people that came to the Christmas event and backed the golf day, without them we wouldn't be able to do these things.

So a massive thank you to all of you, it’s fantastic that we have been able to club together to help save Zoe’s Place.

No other city could do this in England, get together and help it survive. We are absolutely delighted and over the moon that we can be part of it.
