Ifeanyi Ubah's Yaw Preko targets new signings

The Anambra Warriors’ coach has thumbed up the performance of his boys against the Ilorin side after they cruised to the semi final.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah handler Yaw Preko has stated that he is happy with his team and he will only bring in one or two players.

The 2016 Federation Cup champions are eighth on the Nigeria Professional Football League table with 25 points from 18 matches, but the Ghanaian stated that he wants to finish the first stanza on a high.

“We didn't start the season too well but gradually we've found our feet but we have to keep working hard as the season progresses,” Preko told Goal.

“I don't think we need to bring in too many players perhaps one or two will do to fill some gaps but apart from that I am happy with the team.

“We want to finish the first round on a high note, take some break and then come back to the second round and take it a match at a time. It's obvious we need to raise our game, a lot is expected from us but we have to be on our toes to make sure we deliver.”

The Anambra Warriors will host Shooting Stars on Wednesday and Preko stated that the team is prepared.

“Like every other game we prepare well and we are well prepared ahead of this match against Shooting Stars on Wednesday. We want to finish the first round on a high note,” he added.
