Iheanacho: Manchester City fired up for Manchester United showdown

The Nigerian forward will have a medical on Tuesday after being made surplus to requirements as Pep Guardiola looks to radically overhaul his squad

Kelechi Iheanacho says Manchester City are desperate to prove a point against Manchester United in Thursday’s English Premier League derby.

With the Premier League title out of reach for the Citizens, a place in Champions League remains a priority and victory against in-form Jose Mourinho’s men will put them in firm position to qualify.

And the 20-year-old who has featured 18 times this season claims Pep Guardiola’s men are fired up for the cracker billed for the Etihad Stadium.

''It's the BIG one tomorrow, we're raring to go. Hope you all are ready too? #MCFC #ComeOnCity #ManchesterDerby,'' Iheanacho wrote on Instagram.
