Ikefe Andrew reveals that he rejected offers to remain with Niger Tornadoes for the rest of the season.
Despite strong interests from various Nigerian topflight clubs, the defender says he will wait till the end of the ongoing campaign before he considers his future with the club.
“I got offers, in fact one wanted me this mid-season but I choose to stay at Niger Tornadoes. I feel projection is very important, I will stay at my current club till the end of the season after which I will now decide on where next to move to or even stay at Niger Tornadoes,” Ikefe told Goal.
“I will like to stay back at my club and hopefully help Niger Tornadoes achieve its goal this season. Once that’s done I will look at other options and decide on my future.”
Meanwhile, Ikefe has sent his wishes to his former colleagues; Ifeanyi Andrew, set to sign for Rivers United and Chidiebere Ajoku who is already at Wikki Tourist.
“They will be missed because they are very good players. We shall miss them but there are very good players in team that will replace them," he said.
"They will fill the gap both of them left behind. we wish both of them well."
