I'm a body language expert and think Middlesbrough's Emmanuel Latte Lath can go on another goal run

Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath's recent goalscoring spree can lead to more success in front of goal, according to a leading body language expert.

Former police officer-turned TV star Darren Stanton has studied the Ivorian's celebration after his goal in the 5-1 victory over Luton Town last weekend, and feels the 25-year-old could be on the verge of another run of form.

Latte Lath's strike against the Hatters was his fourth goal of the campaign in Boro colours, but his third in the last five games, after enduring something of a barren run since his penalty in the opening-day win over Swansea City.

Now Stanton, who has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector” appearing on the likes of BBC’s The One Show, ITV’s This Morning as well as working on screen with criminal barrister Robert “Judge” Rinder, has explained why Latte Lath's celebration gave him big clues over the striker's mindset.

"With Emmanuel Latte Lath we see a sense of elation but significantly a release of pressure in his celebration against Luton Town." he told OLGB. "This can be seen through the fact that his shoulders come down and he has a genuine smile on his face. Obviously, given his performance last season, links with Ipswich Town in the summer, and a shortage of goals this campaign, the pressure has definitely been on Emmanuel Latte Lath.

"He's trying to prove to anyone that he still has the skills and abilities to fire Middlesbrough to promotion under Michael Carrick despite struggling this season. I would compare him to a salesman who might have had a poor run of form but suddenly sells something.

"In his celebration, you can tell that he feels like he has re-validated his worth within the Boro team. When he celebrates with the camera you really feel his confidence has returned, which could spell another hot streak like we saw in the second half of last season."

Latte Lath will be looking to score for the third successive game in a row when Boro return to Championship action against Oxford United after the international break. He ended last season by scoring in six consecutive games as he took his tally to 18 for the campaign.
