'I'm disappointed' - Everything Mohamed Salah has said about Liverpool future after contract statement
Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool has begun to dominate headlines once again. The Egyptian is out of contract at Anfield next summer, meaning he could leave the Reds as a free agent at the end of the season.
Salah is joined by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk in an alarming list of players who's contracts are set to expire in the summer of 2025. Talks remain underway between Liverpool and the representatives of each player ahead of the January transfer window, at which point agreements could be reached with clubs outside England over a free transfer.
Liverpool remain in talks with Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, over an extension for the 32-year-old, but it remains to be seen if an agreement will be reached. It was in the summer of 2022 that the Reds previously agreed a new deal with Salah which saw him become the highest-paid player at Anfield with a weekly salary of somewhere between £350,000 and £400,000.

After helping Liverpool beat Southampton with two goals in a 3-2 win at St Mary's, Salah spoke honestly about his future in a rare interview. It was not the first time that the Egyptian has been asked about his contract situation in recent months.
Here, the ECHO takes a look at what Salah has said about his future this season with his contract set to expire next summer.
November 2024
"Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club, [so] I'm probably more out than in," said Salah after Liverpool's win over Southampton.
"You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future.
"I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans' hands. Let's wait and see. Of course [no offer is disappointing], yeah.
"I'm not going to retire soon so I'm just playing, focusing on the season and I'm trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I'm disappointed but we will see.
"I'm very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I'm just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I'm just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next."

"Before the season, I was just like 'I've got one year left, let's just enjoy it and don't think about the contract'," Salah told Sky Sports.
"I don't want to think about next year or the future, I just want to enjoy the last year and let's see. The most important thing is to take one day at a time and just be grateful to be here."

"Honestly I had a good summer, I had a long time to stay with myself and try to think positive. As you know it's my last year in the club," Salah told Sky Sports.
"I just want to enjoy it and not think about it. I feel I'm free to play football and we'll see what will happen next year."
He then added: "I was coming to the game, I said look, it could be the last time [coming to Old Trafford]. Nobody talked to me yet about contracts, so I just play my last season, and we'll see at the end of the season. But so far, yeah, my last game here with Liverpool."
