Praful Patel, the President of the all India Football Federation (AIFF), put his football skills on show at the Parliament complex in New Delhi, on Wednesday, 29th March.
The chief of Indian football looked pleased with his efforts as he looked on attempts by Prasun Bannerjee and Babul Supriyo, all of whom took part in theMass Football Distribution Program organized byVijay Goelin the nation's capital.
It was a coterie of Member of Parliaments (MPs) who joinedthe Indian FA's chiefand the Minister for Sports for a kickabout includingSumitra Mahajan, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Roopa Ganguly and Bhaichung Bhutia, the former India captain.
The exercise has been developed with aim to bring about awareness in football ahead of the U17 World Cup, scheduled to be held all over India, later this year. Goel also expressed hope, over the popular social media platform Twitter, that the participant MPs would spread the love of football in their respective constituencies.As per the program's mechanics, every Rajya Sabha MP would recieve a football.
