`Injury prey` Harris fears another breakdown during winter Ashes series

Johannesburg, Nov 1 (ANI): Australian pace bowler Ryan Harris has said he fears that he may fall prey to another injury breakdown, which impacted a major part of his stop-start career, during the upcoming winter Ashes series Harris, who has suffered shoulder, back, hip, knee, ankle and Achilles issues during his career, was one of the few bright spots in Australia's 3-0 Ashes loss in England, where his body somehow survived the rigours of four successive Tests for the first time since his 2010 debut. According to Sport24, the right-arm paceman was left out of the squad currently touring India for a one-day series to give him time to recover and rejoin Australia for the Ashes and while he is determined to stay fit, he fears that his body may fail him again and make him fall prey to another major injury before he finishes the Ashes. However, Harris, who suffered a hamstring injury during the latter part of the fifth Ashes Test, hoped that he does not suffer any breakdown in the next six months, saying that he is excited at the prospect of spearheading Australia's pace attack once again in the first Ashes test beginning in Brisbane as he has only 16 Tests to his name Harris further said that if Australia can play well and consistently, they are sure to beat England and snatch back the Ashes urn.
