Invicta FC 13 Medical Suspensions: Only Two Fighters Briefly Sidelined

Three title fights took place on the Invicta FC 13: Cyborg vs. Van Duin fight card with two new champions being crowned.

Featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino only needed 45 seconds to dispatch of Faith Van Duin in the main event. Tonya Evinger earned the vacant bantamweight title by finishing Irene Aldana by TKO in the fourth round of the co-main event. The two defeated fighters from the top of the fight card were the only ones to receive medical suspensions.

In the third title fight on the fight card, Ayaka Hamasaki defeated Herica Tiburcio by split decision to capture the atomweight championship.

The Nevada Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions stemming from the event to MMAWeekly.com on Monday. The event took place at the Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on July 9.

Invicta FC 13: Cyborg vs. Van Duin Medical Suspensions

Faith Van Duin: Suspended until Aug. 9 with no contact until July 31.

Irene Aldana: Suspended until Aug. 24 with no contact until Aug. 9.
