IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals (DC) Full Schedule, Squad, Date, Time, And Venue For The Second Phase

Table-toppers, Delhi Capitals are all set to continue to outstanding form in the second leg of IPL 2021, scheduled to be played in UAE. The first batch of the franchise, including players such as Amit Mishra, Shreyas Iyer, and Lalit Yadav to name a few arrived in Dubai on Saturday. The rest of the players will be joining the squad later. As per the BCCI and IPL guidelines, the players will be undergoing a mandatory six-day quarantine before resuming their training.

After undergoing five months of intense rehabilitation, Shreyas Iyer is likely to be back on the team. He has already reached UAE and is gearing up to participate in the remaining matches of IPL 2021.

“Shreyas Iyer is already in UAE with a fitness coach and the rest of the players from India, South Africa, and England will join the team after their international assignments are over. The captain issue is still undecided, either it will be Pant or Iyer, the team management has not yet decided on this,” said a DC official.

In Iyer’s absence, Rishabh Pant led the side and impressed one and all with his leadership skills. Much like the previous year, DC have been outstanding with their performances in IPL 2021. Rishabh Pant and Co. are currently sitting at number one position in the points table, having secured 6 wins out of 8 games in the competitions.

In their last five games, DC emerged victorious on 4 occasions. Their two losses in the tournament have come against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. They will begin their second-leg campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 22 at Dubai International Cricket stadium.
