IPL 2021 Watch: Rohit Sharma Meets An Ardent Fan On The Sets Of KBC Virtually

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma made a special appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati much to the surprise and amusement of a contestant named Pranshu. He is a teacher by profession but always dreamt of becoming a cricketer. On meeting Rohit, he could not hold back his tears and the happiness of meeting his hero.

Amitabh Bachchan asked him to choose between his girlfriend and Rohit Sharma. He even termed the question more difficult than an INR 7 crore question on the show.

The Mumbai Indians skipper was not included in the playing XI due to an injury issue moments before their game against CSK. As it turned out, Mumbai lost their first game of the UAE leg.

Rohit Sharma Doubtful Against KKR

His selection is not guaranteed for Mumbai’s next game against KKR on Thursday. However, Trent Boult while addressing the pre-match presser, said that they are hopeful of getting him back in the XI.

“They are obviously two vital players in the XI for Mumbai. And we’re desperate to get them back. So, fingers crossed that they’ll be pretty good to go over the next couple of games. He is right up there in terms of experience and runs achieved in this format. So, it was a big hole but it was a good decision to make sure he is 100 per cent with the amount of cricket coming up. If he comes to the eleven, it will be brilliant, but we want to make sure he is 100 percent fit,” said Boult.

The Kiwi pacer further said that Mumbai Indians dearly missed Rohit Sharma against CSK but defended the team management’s decision to rest him.
