Despite going down in the season opener against Delhi, Chennai Super Kings pulled back to win back-to-back games and keep themselves afloat in the top half of the points table. Meanwhile, CSK have received a major boost ahead of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 with star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood confirming his availability for the remainder of the tournament. Notably, he missed the first half of the competition in India citing personal reasons.

Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign in the second phase of IPL 2021 against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19 in Dubai.
