Ireland call up six debutants for England

Ireland coach Mark Aston has named six uncapped players in a 19-man squad for Saturday's match against England Knights at Langtree Park.

The squad includes six home-grown players in Wayne Kerr, Joe Taylor, Paddy Barcoe, Ian Cross, Aaron McCloskey and Adam Hughes, who is one of the new faces.

The inclusion of Taylor, Barcoe and Hughes means the Dublin City Exiles have three players in the squad.

Leeds academy player Sean Casey is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father Leo and brother Callum who have both represented Ireland in the past.

There are five Super League regulars in Widnes forwards Anthony Mullally, Dave Allen and Kurt Haggerty, Warrington back rower Tyrone McCarthy and London Broncos threequarter Jamie O'Callaghan.

Featherstone half-back Liam Finn will captain the side for the fourth time in a match that will be played as a curtain-raiser to England's game against the Exiles.

Squad: Wayne Kerr (Country Cowboys), Elliott Cosgrove (Dewsbury) Adam Hughes, Joseph A Taylor, Paddy Barcoe (all Dublin City Exiles), Liam Finn, Michael Haley (both Featherstone), Sean Casey (Leeds), Jamie O'Callaghan (London Broncos).

Pat Smith (Sheffield Eagles), Aaron McCloskey, Ian Cross (both St Helens), Danny Bridge, James Mendicka, Tyrone McCarthy (all Warrington), Anthony Mullally, Dave Allen, Kurt Haggerty (all Widnes), John O'Donnell (Wigan).
