Irish duo on target but Albion under-21s are out of luck at Palace in opener

Albion's young Irish duo were both on target for the under-21s tonight.

But goals from Evan Ferguson and Andy Moran could not prevent defeat for the at Crystal Palace in Premier League 2.

The Seagulls, whose side included Julio Enciso, Krzysztof Kozlowski and Matt Clarke, lost 3-2 at Selhurst Park.

Ferguson equalised an early Jean-Philippe Mateta strke.

Palace opened a 3-1 lead though Malcolm Ebiowei and Mateta again which Moran reduced after good work by Cam Peupion.

Albion then pressed hard for an equaliser and Odel Offiah hit the woodwork late on.
